How do you attract a younger audience to news sites? Make it into a game. MSNBC gave contextual meaning to the classic "Brickbreaker" with Newsbreaker. It plays like the old arcade title or the default game on your Blackberry. In addition to power ups, you also have to catch headlines raining down the screen. If you catch 25 headlines, you earn an extra life. The headlines collect to the right of the playing field, and can be browsed when the game ends, or by pausing the game. The game's designers even branded the bricks using the colors of the peacock.
